The Cat of AI Art

Earlier this year I was contacted by Château Siran for the design of their wine label.

They explained that each year they carefully select a theme that they believe will remain relevant for decades to come.
For 2023, they had chosen the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI), anticipating its profound impact on humanity.

Other exchanges followed that first contact, and this image is what will become the label of Château Siran 2023 vintage.

The work is titled “Learning the Language of Gaia”.

These were the words I used to express to Château Siran what was the spirit behind the work and the reason for its title:

“As you know, Machine Learning is one of the declinations of Artificial Intelligence.

With this title I wanted to convey the concept of an artificial intelligence that doesn’t seek to impose itself but instead aims to learn the language of the Nature, of Gaia, the ancestral mother of all life, to be able to communicate with her in the most profound sense, understanding the patterns and needs of the natural world.

This Artificial Intelligence works in sync with the environment, learning from and contributing to the cycles of nature in a way that is intuitive and nurturing, much like a conversation.”
